Bruce A. MacLeod, MD

Dr. MacLeod attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati and his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He has held a number of hospital and health system leadership positions and currently practices as a full-time clinical Emergency Physician in Pittsburgh, PA.

He has been a member of the AMA since 2018 and currently serves as a Delegate on the Pennsylvania delegation to the AMA House of Delegates. He has served the Pennsylvania Medical Society as Chair of the Board of Trustees and as President. For the American College of Emergency Physicians he served as Speaker of the Council as well as President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Medicine. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Allegheny County Medical Society.

In addition, he has volunteered with numerous volunteer organizations including the Women’s Center and Shelter, a domestic violence center, the National Heart Attack Alert Program and Mission Lifeline. 

He lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his lovely wife and they have 4 grown children. His favorite sport is tennis but spends more time skiing, indoor fitness, and golf. He has run a marathon and realized that one was enough. He does enjoy reading and continues to try to learn to play the guitar
