Likhit Agrawal is a medical student at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), graduating in 2027. He earned his B.S. in Neuroscience, graduating cum laude from The University of Texas at Dallas, where he was a Collegium V Honors Scholar and National Merit Scholar. He has twice been selected for the prestigious Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C.—first as an undergraduate and again as a medical student.
He has a strong policy background, having served as a Health Policy Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee, where he researched Medicare and Medicaid and authored a policy paper on physician-owned hospitals. He also interned for the U.S. Senate HELP Committee, focusing on pandemic preparedness, insurance issues, and agency oversight. At the state level, he worked as a staffer in the Texas House of Representatives during the 88th Legislative Session, contributing to several policy initiatives that became law.
Likhit is active in organized medicine as a student leader. He serves as Region 3 Delegate and Region 3 Delegation Chair and is President of his school’s AMA/TMA chapter. He is the former Region 3 Policy Chair and TEXPAC Student Representative, as well as former President of the Healthcare Innovation Collaborative at UTHealth Houston, where he led the school’s largest interprofessional case competition. He also represented UTHealth nationally at the CLARION Healthcare Case Competition, where his team earned second place.
He currently lives in Houston, where he enjoys reading about politics, spending time with friends, and exploring the city’s food scene.
