Where this data comes from
All contribution figures on this page are drawn from AMPAC's itemized disbursement reports (FEC Schedule B, Form 3X) filed with the Federal Election Commission, retrieved October 5, 2026, and covering the 2026 two-year transaction period from January 2025 through August 31, 2026.
The total-investment figure combines direct candidate contributions, contributions to national party committees, caucus PACs and leadership PACs, and independent-expenditure advertising; it does not include operating costs. Independent-expenditure spending is not included in the candidate totals shown on the map and candidate cards. Candidate totals reflect net direct contributions to each candidate's principal campaign committee, including voided or refunded amounts. Independent expenditure communications are presented separately and are not included in the direct candidate-support totals shown on the map and candidate cards.
Candidate photographs use official portraits from the Congressional Biographical Directory and GPO Congressional Pictorial Directory where available. Candidates without an available portrait are shown with initials.
The map uses U.S. Census cartographic state boundaries in an Albers equal-area projection with Alaska and Hawaii insets. Candidate data is loaded from a published spreadsheet maintained by AMPAC staff each time the page opens, with a saved copy used if the spreadsheet is unavailable.
Original contribution filings are available on fec.gov. AMPAC's 2026 independent-expenditure reports are available in the FEC independent-expenditure database.
