AMPAC Chair’s Message

Thank you for visiting the AMPAC website. In the world of medicine, politics is an inescapable reality. Government regulations shape how you practice medicine and care for your patients. AMPAC, the American Medical Association's political action committee, champions federal candidates who prioritize the interests of physicians and patients, playing a pivotal role in the AMA's advocacy efforts. AMPAC boasts a strong track record of influencing key elections. In the last election, an impressive 95% of AMPAC-supported candidates won their races. Additionally, AMPAC helped elect five new physician members to Congress, bringing the total number of physicians in Congress to 20.

As we launch our 2025 fundraising campaign, we are focused on securing the financial resources needed for the upcoming election. We invite you to invest in this crucial effort. If you are already an AMPAC member, we deeply appreciate your ongoing support. If you haven't joined yet, we encourage you to consider becoming a member today. On this website, you will find comprehensive information about AMPAC, including the various donor levels and our esteemed political education programs available to AMA members.

Remember, as the saying goes, "Have a seat at the table, or you'll be on the menu!" Your involvement ensures that physicians' voices are heard in the political arena.
