Student Member, AMPAC Board of Directors
Brianna Ma is a medical student at California University of Science and Medicine. Before medical school, she was an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and received her master’s in global medicine. These experiences inspired her to get involved with organized medicine, and she has been heavily involved in advocacy since her first advocacy trip with her state medical society as a first-year student.
Her AMA involvements include serving on the Membership, Engagement, and Recruitment Committee, and she was previously an outreach leader and the Medical Student Digital Fellow. On the state level, she was the Vice Chair of Relations and Vice Chair of Events for the Medical Student Section. She has also served two years on her county medical society’s board, been the president of her school’s organized medicine interest group and was her school’s AMA delegate for two years.
She is also passionate about service and volunteers at a local nonprofit to help increase the accessibility of sexual assault response teams in her underserved area and volunteers at her school’s free clinic. Her hobbies include playing with her dog (a “failed” show dog), crafting, and cooking.
